In case you want to transfer a domain from one registrar company to another, you will need a unique authorization code, which may be referred to by many names – an EPP key, an Auth code, a domain password, etc. All these names designate the exact same thing – a code that the domain name owner receives from the present domain name registrar and provides to the new one during the order process. Without an authentic code, a domain transfer process cannot be started and this is one of the security mechanisms against unsolicited transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even greater safety, the code comprises of digits and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so in case you would like to transfer one of your domain names, you need to provide the new domain registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Web Hosting

You can get the EPP transfer authorization code for any domain that you’ve registered with our company with only several mouse clicks from the same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to manage your web hosting account. Once you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll find all your domains neatly listed in alphabetical order. If a certain extension supports transfers between domain registrars with an EPP code, you will notice an EPP button next to the respective domain name. If you click that button, the code will be sent to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain dame. If you want, you can update the contact details, including the email address, without having to leave this section of the Control Panel, in case the currently listed email address is no longer valid.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

In case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you have registered a domain name that you’d like to transfer, you can get the EPP transfer code very easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer both your domain names and your account. If you visit the Registered Domains section, you’ll see an EPP symbol on the right side of your domains, as long as their extensions support transfers between domain registrars with such a code. All codes are emailed automatically by our system to the registrant’s email address to ensure that only the owner of the domain name can see this information. In case the current email is not valid any longer, you can edit it with a few clicks of the mouse without the need to leave this Control Panel section. The update is instantaneous, so you’ll be able to request the EPP code for the respective domain straight away.
